Setup Guide
Getting your new Reformesa equipment set up correctly makes a real difference to how it feels and performs. Here's what to expect.
Before Your Delivery Arrives
- Confirm your space has enough clearance for the fully unfolded/assembled unit — check the "Dimensions" table on your product page for exact measurements.
- Clear a path from your entry point to the setup location, especially for larger reformers and Cadillac units.
- Have a second person available for unboxing and assembly on larger equipment — most reformers and towers are easier and safer to assemble with two people.
Unboxing
- Check all packaging for visible damage before opening. If you see damage, photograph it before unboxing and see our Shipping Policy for next steps.
- Keep all packaging materials until you've confirmed everything works as expected — this makes any return easier if needed, per our Refund Policy.
- Locate the included hardware bag and any printed instructions before starting assembly.
Assembly Basics
Assembly steps vary by model, and printed instructions are included with every reformer, chair, and tower unit. In general:
- Assemble the frame and legs first on a flat, level surface.
- Attach rails and carriage components before adding springs.
- Add springs last, and always at the lowest resistance setting first, to check smooth carriage movement before increasing tension.
- For foldable models, test the fold/unfold mechanism a few times before your first workout to get familiar with it.
First Use Checklist
- Check that all bolts and fasteners are fully tightened.
- Test the carriage glide at low resistance before increasing spring tension.
- Confirm the carriage stopper (where applicable) is functioning and engaged when getting on or off.
- Review the weight capacity listed on your product page before use.
