Weight & Dimensions

Chair length: 118 cm (46.5 in)

Chair width: 39.5 cm (15.6 in)

Maximum height: 84.5 cm (33.3 in)

Seat length: 47 cm (18.5 in)

Seat width: 39.5 cm (15.6 in)

Seat height: 26 cm (10.2 in)

The proportions here are worth reading carefully: this chair is narrow rather than small overall. At 15.6 in wide it takes up very little wall space, but it runs 46.5 in long, so plan for a narrow strip rather than a square corner. The low 10.2 in seat height makes it easy to get on and off.

Materials & Build

Frame: Solid high-strength maple wood, built for regular use

Hardware: Stainless steel, for lasting durability

Springs: Adjustable spring resistance, suitable for beginners through to advanced practitioners

Assembly & Care

The chair requires assembly before use. Install it on a flat, stable indoor surface with clear space around it for seated and stepping work.

Before your first session, check that all bolts and fittings are secure and that every spring is correctly seated on its hook at your chosen resistance. Re-check the spring hooks and fixings regularly — chair work loads them through a single point, often with your full body weight, so a loose fitting matters more here than on a reformer. Keep children and pets away during assembly and adjustment.

Delivery does not include assembly or installation.

Care: Wipe the upholstery after each session with a soft, slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry thoroughly. Clean the maple frame with a dry or lightly damp microfibre cloth, avoiding excess water, abrasive cleaners, bleach and solvents. Inspect the springs, hooks, pedal mechanism and stainless steel fittings regularly, and stop using the chair if any component appears worn or damaged. Store and use indoors in a dry environment, away from direct sunlight, heaters and excessive humidity — maple is a natural material and can be marked by prolonged damp or heat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is it called a “baby” chair — is it for children?

No. “Baby” refers to the chair’s compact proportions, not its users. It is a full adult Pilates chair with a narrower, lower profile than a standard studio chair, designed for adults training in smaller spaces.

How much space does it need?

It measures 118 × 39.5 cm (46.5 × 15.6 in) with a maximum height of 84.5 cm (33.3 in). The proportions matter here: it is narrow rather than small overall, so plan for a strip of floor roughly four feet long and sixteen inches wide, plus clear space around it for movement. That still asks far less of a room than a reformer.

What is the seat height, and why does it matter?

The seat sits at 26 cm (10.2 in) — low, by design. That makes getting on and off straightforward, which matters for rehabilitation work and for anyone with limited mobility, and it suits seated, supported and floor-level exercises.

Is it suitable for beginners?

Yes. The spring resistance is adjustable, so you can start light and build up as your strength and control develop. Chair work does demand more control than reformer work, because you work against resistance without a carriage supporting you — so if you are completely new to Pilates, we would suggest learning the fundamentals with a qualified instructor first.

What kind of training is it best for?

Focused lower-body and core work, along with balance and coordination training. The compact proportions and low seat make it a practical choice for home studios, structured training programmes and rehabilitation settings where space is limited.

What is it made of?

The frame is solid high-strength maple wood, built for regular use, with stainless steel hardware throughout for lasting durability.

What colours are available?

Ten: Black, Grey, Ivory, Mocha, Dusty Pink, Iceberg, Eucalyptus, Ocean Blue, Blue and Red. All are the same price and share the same specification.

How long does delivery take, and what does it cost?

Free Tracked & Insured Delivery is included at no cost, with an estimated transit time of 7–12 business days after processing. Orders are processed in 1–3 business days, so the estimated total is 8–15 business days. Express Shipping is available for $79.95 with an estimated 5–8 business days in transit. Unlike our reformers, the chair ships by standard parcel courier, boxed and protected — so there is no freight appointment to arrange, and it comes to your door. Every order includes tracking, and for eligible international orders all duties and import taxes are included at checkout.

What if it doesn’t work out — can I return it?

Yes. You have 30 calendar days from delivery to request a return, including simply because the chair doesn’t suit your space. Eligible returns are free: we provide a prepaid return label or arrange carrier collection, with no restocking fee and no return-processing fee. The chair must be unused, complete with its accessories, and returned in its original packaging — so please keep the box and protective foam until you’re satisfied with your order.
